Nestled along Chestnut Log Branch Creek in the heart of Wolfe County, Nickell Ridge Homestead is just a short hike from Swift Camp Creek, Rock Bridge, and Creation Falls in the Red River Gorge. Our land features peaceful forests, open fields, and a multi-tier waterfall during the rainy season — a quiet slice of Appalachian heritage preserved in nature.

Beginning in 2026, we will be offering primitive campsites, furnished bell tents, boondocking, and hands-on homestead workshops that celebrate the skills and traditions of Appalachia. Whether you’re looking for a quiet retreat, a family adventure, or a place to learn timeless mountain skills, we invite you to explore the land with us and become part of the story we’re building here on the homestead.
