By booking a stay or entering the property, the Guest acknowledges they have read, understand, and agree to all policies, rules, and conditions outlined in this Agreement.
2-night minimum is required for all reservations.

Payment must be completed before check-in.
Refund Policy:
Full refund: Cancel 30 days or more before arrival
Partial refund: Cancel 7–29 days before arrival
Less than 7 days: Refund only if the spot is rebooked
Applicable Kentucky sales and transient room taxes may apply and will be collected with your payment.
Booking Confirmation:
Reservation is confirmed only after full payment through Payhip is received.
Guests must acknowledge acceptance of this agreement via digital checkbox or form confirmation prior to payment.

4-wheel drive recommended, especially in wet weather.
Parking available near the entrance if your vehicle cannot reach the campsite.
Guests are responsible for their own vehicles; Nickell Ridge Homestead is not liable for vehicle damage.
Only select primitive campsites have firepits; bell tents include a firepit.
No fires outside designated areas unless approved by the owners.
Large community fire pit available nightly for all guests.
No outside firewood may be brought in; firewood available:
$5 per bundle (pre-ordered for site delivery)

Two portable toilets near the entrance; no showers or bathhouse

Trails from the homestead lead directly into the Red River Gorge
Guests must follow rules from:
Daniel Boone National Forest (DBNF)
Kentucky Division of Forestry
Pets allowed on most RRG/DBNF trails; restricted in Natural Bridge State Resort Park
Guests are responsible for reviewing official trail rules online
Foraging is welcome; guests are responsible for ensuring items are safe to consume
Nickell Ridge Homestead is not responsible for illness or injury from foraged items
Pets are welcome:
Bell tents: $5 per pet, per night
Primitive camping: no fee
Guests must:
Clean up after pets
Keep pets under control
Prevent disturbance to guests, wildlife, or livestock
Guests are responsible for any damage or injury caused by their pets
No hunting permitted on the homestead
Firearms may be approved on a case-by-case basis for Red River Gorge hunting only
Guests must:
Notify owners prior to arrival
Keep firearms locked unless traveling to/from approved hunting
Follow Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife regulations
Non-compliance may result in immediate removal, no refund
Homestead is not responsible for theft, loss, or damage of firearms
Quiet generators allowed; loud generators prohibited
Quiet hours: 10 PM–7 AM EST
During events, quiet hours may shift (notification provided before arrival)
Guests may bring bedding or rent: $25 per stay (sheets, pillows, quilt)
Extended stays include one free bedding change (excluding quilt)
Extra changes: $10 each
Guests agree to:
Respect wildlife and nature
Avoid damaging plants, trees, or structures
Clean campsite before departure
Dispose of trash in designated bins
Follow standard Leave No Trace principles
Failure to clean up may result in additional charges
Guests are responsible for personal property
Homestead not liable for lost, damaged, or stolen items
Items left >30 days will be donated or disposed
Shipping items: $15 convenience fee + shipping cost
By booking, Guest acknowledges:
Camping, outdoor activities, hiking, fires, uneven terrain, wildlife, and natural hazards carry inherent risks
Nickell Ridge Homestead, owners, and staff are not responsible for accidents, injuries, illnesses, property damage, or death
Guests assume full responsibility for themselves, their children, and pets
Guests agree to hold Nickell Ridge Homestead harmless to the fullest extent permitted by law
Guests acknowledge they have read and understand all rules and safety instructions
By completing a reservation or entering the property, the Guest agrees to all terms in this Agreement
